ABOUT

ABOUT ME

I’m a designer residing in the heart of Silicon Valley, in San José, California. I graduated from San José State University’s BFA Graphic Design program. When I’m not working obsessively behind my laptop screen, I like to hike, explore and photograph abandoned buildings, drive up curvy mountain roads, and hit the beach with my wife and dogs Toby and Luna. Feel free to look around my website and contact me if you’d like to talk about a project, design, or my dogs!

MY PROCESS

There are no absolute right or wrong answers in design. Designers can take an idea, an experience, a set of facts and figures, or almost anything, and approach it in an endless number of ways to try and find the most creative solution. This is one of the things I enjoy most about design, and I believe it shows in my work. I believe in trying every idea, even ones that might seem silly at first. Nothing should be off the table, especially before even starting.

Experimenting with unusual mediums and technologies, and discovering and learning new ones is a big part of what I love about design. Whether it’s scanning different materials to try as textures, or finding the best AR platform to use for a design exhibit, I find it easy to lose myself in the process. I love starting a project without a predetermined idea of what the final outcome will look like because I believe the journey getting there is the most exciting part. It’s kind of like driving to a favorite hiking spot. It’s important to get from point A to point B, but the landscapes you see on the drive there can be just as beautiful as the destination itself.
